Our commitment to reconciliation

We would like to acknowledge that the Banff Trail Community Association is situated on the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy, which include the Siksika, the Kainai, the Amskapi Piikani and the Piikani, who have cared for this beautiful land for tens of thousands of years.

We honor and acknowledge all the people, the ancestors, and the future generations of this strong and beautiful nation and give thanks for being here today.

We acknowledge the neighbouring tribes on Treaty 7, the T’suu Tina, the Iyarhe Nakoda, and the Métis Nation Region 3 who also live respectfully on the land and guide the wellbeing of the land and the people for many generations to come.

May we learn from those who have gone before us to live in harmony with all peoples who make their homes here on Treaty 7 territory.

Join our committee working on truth and reconciliation initiatives in Banff Trail.
