Program is open to adults and children
Classes are open to ages 4+ including adults and those with minor disabilities. Young children must be supported by an adult, preferably on skates
All participants must wear CSA approved helmet, mitts or gloves, and hockey skates (not figure skates). Information regarding skate rentals below

How to prepare
Have children wear a helmet with a cage and a balaclava ur buff under it. Adults will also need to wear a CSA approved helmet.
Wear layers; long-johns, sweatpants, volleyball kneepads/elbow pads ( not hard knee pads), splash pants and a warm jacket.
Wear warm waterproof mitts.
Wear hockey skates and warm socks. Bring a warm drink like hot chocolate to enjoy.

U of C Outdoor Centre is open Monday-Sunday 8:30am-6:30pm Closed Stat holidays therefore renters must drop off their skates the night before on Sunday night or first thing Tuesday morning
