One of the most affordable golf tournaments in the city, at only $160/individual and a discounted rate of $600/foursome, Chip in Fore Communities includes lunch, 18 holes in a power cart with goodies along the way, dinner, and the chance to win prizes.
And don’t worry if you’re not a skilled golfer – the tournament is a best ball format and focuses on having fun, not winning. This year’s foursome photo competition will be Canada150 themed.
The Banff Trail Community Association annual general meeting (AGM) is on Friday June 9th at the Banff Trail Community Hall at 7pm. We will be going over changes to the board of directors, discussing community issues, and voting on changes to the community association bylaws.
There will be free coffee donated by Higher Ground, munchies, and a chance to socialize after.
One of the critical functions of a community association is in stewardship of the community – to ensure the responsible management of Banff Trail’s unique resources and features. The association serves as a conduit to City Hall and other agencies as the voice for our residents, and we need to know what Banff Trail residents are thinking!
Over the past year, the association has engaged on all of the below topics. These are things affect you now and will in the future here in Banff Trail. If you care about any how any of these issues are handled you should attend the AGM.

Banff Trail has an envious record of being a tidy, progressive, safe area to live, rent a suite, raise a family, grow old, and develop friendships. To a large extent, this is due to residents’ commitment to “Community Building.” We have a remarkable demographic diversity, and the AGM is where you can make sure your ideas or concerns about any of these topics are known.
Lastly, we would all love the opportunity to meet you, and to build new friendships here in Banff Trail.
At our June 9th AGM (7pm at the hall), we will propose and vote on a bylaw change:
Change of 4.2.1 from “The Board of Directors shall convene an Annual General Meeting of the Membership on or before June 15 of each year.” to “… on or before September 30 of each year.”
This is to give the bookkeeping and account auditing process more time, as it’s quite tight to get it completed prior to June 15th, as well as to move the election of new board members to the fall when our meetings are more regular.
The City of Calgary will be hosting two upcoming information sessions regarding City initiated land use redesignations (rezonings) of specific residential properties in Banff Trail and Capitol Hill. These redsignations are to implement recent changes to the Banff Trail Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) and the Capitol Hill portion of the North Hill ARP.
