The Banff Trail Soccer club is a popular way for our community to work together, and an unparalleled way to get the neighbourhood kids together, have fun, and play with teams from close-by communities.
Hidden Story Productions is looking for some extras interested in playing shinny hockey at the Banff Trail Community rink for this Friday (Jan 5, 2018) from 11 am to 3 pm.
We’re filming a short Public Service Announcement (PSA) about needless idling. No acting or professional hockey skills required as all you have to do is have fun on the ice rink. We’re looking for a diversity of community to come out, so if you are able to come out for 11 am (awesome) or 1 pm (great too) then come out with your skates and sticks.
Are you interested in expanding your indigenous knowledge? If so, please come to our free workshop hosted by the BTCA.
This workshop will touch on the current realities facing Indigenous communities, and increase awareness of the need for cultural support. The workshop will also explore how historical processes and policies continue to have an effect on Indigenous People, and provide ways participants can heal together.
Saturday, January 20th, 2018 from 11am to 2pm at the BTCA Hall
Presented by: Tim Fox, Director – Indigenous Relations, Calgary Foundation

One of the most affordable golf tournaments in the city, at only $160/individual and a discounted rate of $600/foursome, Chip in Fore Communities includes lunch, 18 holes in a power cart with goodies along the way, dinner, and the chance to win prizes.
And don’t worry if you’re not a skilled golfer – the tournament is a best ball format and focuses on having fun, not winning. This year’s foursome photo competition will be Canada150 themed.
