Our community is proud to feature works by our local artists.
Our first featured artist is Laura Barrett.
Laura graduated from ACAD in 2005 with a degree in fine arts.
Her most recent pieces are created on wood using a 3 tone palette. Wood cutting creates the white, pyrography (wood burning) creates the black, and the natural wood grain creates the mid-tone. Currently, she concentrates on portraits of animals and people.
She has previously displayed at the Calgary Central Library, Ironwood, Blues Can, Winos, Pages, cSPACE King Edward, the Epcor Centre, and will be at the Central Library July 2020.
Her work can be viewed at www.xpozezstudios.com and on Instagram @xpozezstudios

Have you ever been curious about the history of the great community we live in?
“From Prairie Grass to City Sidewalks” contains a collection of stories from some of the first residents of our community, many of whom originally built the houses here.
Click on the image below, give it a read and see how the community started, developed, and changed over the years!
You might have noticed some construction happening around the Community Hall. The deck has reached the end of its lifecycle and we are renovating to feature a larger space and ramp access. We apologize for any inconvenience and will do our best to ensure you still have access to the gardens, fields, and playground areas.
Banff Trail would like to thank all our wonderful volunteers by treating you to dinner on May 4 and the Community Centre.
Keep an eye out for your invite!
In partnership with Felix Chan and Jasben Lai of Live Inner City Real Estate Team, we are happy to bring back our 2nd Annual Community Social and Clean-up! Bring your family and drop off your recycling (bottle, paper, electronics) and waste. Meet your neighbors and local businesses and enjoy free food, drinks, door prizes and more!
11AM – 2PM at William Aberhart High School.
Did you know that our community has TWO outdoor skating rinks? Aside from the rink at the community centre, there is a smaller rink by Cathedral Road. We’re looking for volunteers to help prepare and maintain the ice at our Cathedral rink.
Weather permitting, come join us with your snow shovel in the evening Thursday Feb 7. We’ll be clearing the snow in preparation for flooding.
Please contact Stacey at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help out on Thursday or in the future!
