Looking for an affordable game of golf with lunch, dinner, prizes, AND help supporting community associations?
Join the Federation of Calgary Communities on Friday, August 11th, 2017 at the Canal at Delacour Golf Club for their 5th Annual Chip in Fore Communities Golf Tournament, presented by Save-on-Foods! The day will begin when registration and the driving range open at 11:00am, followed by lunch at noon, and a texas scramble tee-off at 1:00pm. Dinner will be served following the tournament.
One of the most affordable golf tournaments in the city, at only $160/individual and a discounted rate of $600/foursome, Chip in Fore Communities includes lunch, 18 holes in a power cart with goodies along the way, dinner, and the chance to win prizes.
And don’t worry if you’re not a skilled golfer – the tournament is a best ball format and focuses on having fun, not winning. This year’s foursome photo competition will be Canada150 themed.

The Banff Trail Community Association annual general meeting (AGM) is on Friday June 9th at the Banff Trail Community Hall at 7pm. We will be going over changes to the board of directors, discussing community issues, and voting on changes to the community association bylaws.
There will be free coffee donated by Higher Ground, munchies, and a chance to socialize after.
One of the critical functions of a community association is in stewardship of the community – to ensure the responsible management of Banff Trail’s unique resources and features. The association serves as a conduit to City Hall and other agencies as the voice for our residents, and we need to know what Banff Trail residents are thinking!
Over the past year, the association has engaged on all of the below topics. These are things affect you now and will in the future here in Banff Trail. If you care about any how any of these issues are handled you should attend the AGM.
- Development, Densification, and Zoning
- Renter’s and Landlord Rights
- “Good Neighbor Agreements” with Businesses and Entities
- Traffic Calming
- The New Ice Rink
- C-Train Station and Motel Village Re-development
- Crowchild Trail Development
- Modifications to the Association Bylaws
If you have any questions or would like to educate yourself about any of the above topics, please get in contact with the board.
Banff Trail has an envious record of being a tidy, progressive, safe area to live, rent a suite, raise a family, grow old, and develop friendships. To a large extent, this is due to residents’ commitment to “Community Building.” We have a remarkable demographic diversity, and the AGM is where you can make sure your ideas or concerns about any of these topics are known.
Lastly, we would all love the opportunity to meet you, and to build new friendships here in Banff Trail.
Registration for the popular Banff Trail Community Soccer teams will be opening February 1st and closing February 28th.
