Impacts of Inter-generational Trauma Workshop – Sat. Jan 20 – 11am – 2pm

Are you interested in expanding your indigenous knowledge? If so, please come to our free workshop hosted by the BTCA.

This workshop will touch on the current realities facing Indigenous communities, and increase awareness of the need for cultural support. The workshop will also explore how historical processes and policies continue to have an effect on Indigenous People, and provide ways participants can heal together.

Banff Trail Harvest Festival – Sat, Sept. 23, 2017 from 11am – 2pm

This year our annual Harvest Festival will be happening on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 from 11am to 2pm.

  • About 10 different delicious Soups, as well as other items made from the ingredients harvested from our Community Harvest Festival 2016

DELACOUR GOLF TOURNAMENT FOR CALGARY COMMUNITIES – FRI., AUGUST 11, 2017 – STARTS 11:00am

Looking for an affordable game of golf with lunch, dinner, prizes, AND help supporting community associations?

Join the Federation of Calgary Communities on Friday, August 11th, 2017 at the Canal at Delacour Golf Club for their 5th Annual Chip in Fore Communities Golf Tournament, presented by Save-on-Foods! The day will begin when registration and the driving range open at 11:00am, followed by lunch at noon, and a texas scramble tee-off at 1:00pm. Dinner will be served following the tournament.

One of the most affordable golf tournaments in the city, at only $160/individual and a discounted rate of $600/foursome, Chip in Fore Communities includes lunch, 18 holes in a power cart with goodies along the way, dinner, and the chance to win prizes.

And don’t worry if you’re not a skilled golfer – the tournament is a best ball format and focuses on having fun, not winning. This year’s foursome photo competition will be Canada150 themed.

Banff Trail Winter Festival – Sat, Feb 25th

This Saturday, February 25th from 11am – 2pm at the Community Hall come celebrate Winter (or chinook) with your Neighbour.

  • Oatmeal  Buffet Bar, with a wide selection of fun, tasty toppings
  • Fruit, Coffee and Juice available as well
  • Hopefully skating on the Rink
  • Roasting Marshmallows

AIMG_1328 few more volunteers are required for the event. Some of the positions that need to be filled are as follows;

  • Set up the Hall,  Tables, Chairs, Make Coffee, etc.
  • Make  Oatmeal, Supplies / recipe provided; crock pot required
  • Clear the Hall, Take down the Buffet, Put Tables and Chairs away, etc.

Banff Trail Redevelopment City of Calgary Meeting

The City of Calgary will be hosting two upcoming information sessions regarding City initiated land use redesignations (rezonings) of specific residential properties in Banff Trail and Capitol Hill. These redsignations are to implement recent changes to the Banff Trail Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP) and the Capitol Hill portion of the North Hill ARP.
